Theorems and Vinegar Graining
Brendle Museum

Students may choose a stencil design from the Distelfink Crafters extensive library of stencils below. We have traditional early American designs, contemporary designs and holiday designs. All supplies will be included in the price: use of the stencil, oil paints, stencil brushes, velveteen and more. Beginners welcome. Come learn the art of theorem painting.
Vinegar grain an 8” x 10” frame (some other sizes may be available). You will transform a solid wood frame into a work of art with this early American traditional method. All supplies included: frame, paint, vinegar glaze, pigments and shellac.
You will have enough time to stencil an 8”x10” picture and vinegar grain a frame if you would like to do both.

Class fee: $20
Material fees vary according to the size of the theorem or frame you choose:
Theorems - Frame size:
Small 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 5x7 - $10
Medium 6x8, 8x10-12, 9x12 - $15
Large 11x14 - 14x16 - $20
X-Large 14x18 -18x24 $30
Please note when you sign up, your color choice for velveteen White or Ecru
Vinegar Graining Frames
Class Fee $10 (if you Vinegar Grain and paint a Theorem, combined class fee is $25)
Materials fee for frames, includes the price of the frame:

$25 for one stem (5 lanterns per stem)
Additional materials may be purchased to make more
Min 8 participants, no max
Students will learn to construct one stem with 5 Chinese lanterns, container not included. Pick from traditional colors or a color to match your décor. You will be working with felt, hot glue, wire and floral tape. All supplies will be included, plus use of necessary tools. There will be extra supplies to purchase to take home and complete if you would like more.
